Homemade Organic Cherry Puree

I used frozen pitted organic cherries
Very easy and very yummy!

1-bag frozen cherries (next time I will probably use 2 one didn't go far)

Steam for about 15 mins
Blend until smooth
Adding water as needed for your babies needs

When I put them in ice cube trays I only feel half full or less on this recipe so they are small cubes when serving i add to another fruit such as apples, pears, peaches, etc. whatever sounds good to you! :)
I made peach, apple, cherry the other day it was very yummy and dd loved it!

This recipe is supper easy and super yummy it is also a great compliment fruit to many others! :) Hope you and your little ones enjoy!

Happy 1st Birthday!

Well yesterday was baby girls 1 year party! So hard to believe she is a year today! Her party went great her cakes looked great she didn't even make that big of a mess! She did very good opening all her presents and got some very cute things! :) It was so cute she loved her balloons and even said boons! She surprises me every day at the things she says and does!

Lets see this year she has had so many firsts...first coos, rolls, smiling, laughing, talking and wow does she talk a lot i think she is up to around 40 words now! She is starting to crawl on all fours at times, trying to pull up on things. She is so precious and such a good baby she started sleeping through the night at 4 months (sleeps 10-12 hours a night). She went out in the boat and even a trip to the beach! She loves being outside.

We are now at 1 year of breastfeeding and almost 8 months of cloth diapering and 5 months of making baby food! I love doing these things for her and giving her the best I can! :)

Tommorow is the big party!

I baked the cakes last night I am making the jumbo 3d cupcakes big and small ones! Well I used the Cherrybrook kitchen cake mix which is very yummy but it just would not back in the giant cupcake pan. i thought it was done took it out dumped it on to a plate and it collapsed because it was still liquid inside, needless to say I cried! :) I sent my mom to the store at 10:30 last night to get regular cake mix for the giant cake the little ones came out ok and those were the ones for her anyways so they were what really mattered being diary, egg and nut free.
Cake number 2 took almost an hour but it is perfect! This morning while baby is napping I will be trying to make icing and decorate it! Wish me luck! :)
Today I need to put finishing touches on house and then start the fun part of decorating! YEAH! so excited! Cant believe my baby is having her first birthday party tomorrow and that she will be 1 on Monday! WOW this year has gone to quick!

Homemade organic broccoli purée

I have been using frozen organic fruits and veggies lately since this is off season and I have trouble finding fresh.

1- package frozen broccoli

- Steam in steamer for approx 15 mins or until tender
- Place in blender
- Add water as needed to achieve consistency needed for your babies needs
- Place in ice cube trays and freeze
- Once frozen place in freezer bags

My sweet baby

As I sit here holding my sweet baby I can't believe this time 1 year ago I was so very pregnant so ready to have her. (I actually went to hospital after having contractions all day mins apart but no luck). Little did I know it would b 6more days till I met my wonderful bundle of joy . Now this time this year I am busy getting my house ready for a special 1st birthday party and trying to figure out icing recipes and make everything perfect for the big day!
We have been redoing our living room and hopefully it will be finished tonight so that the rest of the house can be in order and then the fun starts the decorating! I may have went over board but you are only 1 once! :)
Hope everyone is having a great week sorry I haven't been on much things are so hectic. Soon things will calm and go back to normal.

1st Birthday planning!

Trying to plan DD first birthday party! AHHHH I can't belive it has already been a year! SO much to do so little time. Though the lady at the party place apperently thought I was buying stuff way in advance when I told her no dd birthday was in a couple weeks she was very suprised I guess my daughter must be tiny for her age! :) That is ok though great things come in small packages.
So I have been on a search for egg free milk free cake mix I think I may have found some I am going to bake a test cake today and see how it tastes I will post and let everyone know. Now I am trying to figure out an icing mixture. My theme is cupcakes so I have bought all the decorating tools lets hope it turns out good. Especially since I am baking it for my dh bday tomorrow. At least I will know in advance if it is gross! :) Lets all hope it is very yummy though because I am running out of time to find another option!
Well back to the planning and the house cleaning. Hopefully my living room is finished this weekend so I can have everything in order and ready!
Need to work on invitations today! I may go crazy with so much to do!

Cloth diaper safe rash cream

What is everyone favorite rash cream?
I have tried angel baby bottom balm. It seems to work pretty good, it is a very small container for as expensive as it was (I think I paid $15). Though it has seemed to last awhile, but it doesn't always seem to take the redness away very quickly.
I have also just recently been using CJ's BUTTer. So far so good with it! It smells great like baby magic. Was fairly inexpensive at 9 dollars a tube. Though I am not sure how well it truly works either seems like I have to apply it several times.

I am thinking of trying Grandma El's and would love to know of others experiences with this in comparison to CJ's and Angel baby.

I need help!

Ok Ladies, My DD is allergic to Strawberries by contact she has never ingested. I am having a hard time getting some ppl to understand how serious this is. What can I do to make them understand this is not a joke? Any good articles out there on this matter?

11 months

I cant believe she is 11 months now! Where has the time gone! Just seems like yesterday I was pregnant and huge! Now I have lost all my baby weight plus some! O the powers of Breastfeeding!
So now I am trying to plan a 1 year old birthday party (wow that is strange to say!). Thankfully it will only be parents and grandparents and 1 aunt and uncle. Just a small party, but of course I am going all out!
Now just to decide what to buy her! Any ideas what is good for a 1 year old?

2 New Teeth!

Her first 2 top teeth are officially in! YEAH! They are not all the way down but through the skin which i think must be the hard part. She is so proud of them and loves showing them off it is so cute everytime you ask to see her teeth she opens her mouth all the way up! She is such a ham!

Teething

Teething has never really bothered DD and I cant really say this time it did either, but for the last few days she has either gotten up really early or in the middle of the night. This is very rare she is a very good sleeper usually sleeping 10-12 hours a night. Needless to say I was a very tired mommy I am not used to being up. Though when she would get up she just wanted to lay with me and wouldnt cry but didnt want me to let her go. I guess she is tough! Both of her top teeth were coming in 1 on New Years Day and the other one yesterday.
Thankfully last night she finally slept all night and so did mommy!
I really don't have any teething tips I would give a cold wash cloth and she really seemed to like that even more than her teethers she at times would like her gums rubbed, but not much. I think she must be growing too! Yesterday for dinner she ate 2tbs pumpkin, 2 tbs peaches and whole yo baby yogurt! She usually only eats the 2tbs of a veggie and fruit!
If you have any teething tips I would love to hear them for the next time they bother her. Thanks so much! I must now get busy on all the things I have missed the last few days!

Happy New Year

2011 was a great year one of the best ever, with the birth of my beautiful, amazing, smart, wonderful daughter! :) She is such a blessing and amazes me everyday. We have been so lucky she is a very good baby. I can't believe she will be 1 year old this month time has gone way to quick! Every minunte of it has been wonderful.
So many firsts in 2011 I cant wait to see what 2012 holds! I wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Day 3 - using products

So far I have been using the products lovelyecochic sent me for 3 days. She sent me a incredibum wet bag and diaper and a planet wise pail liner!
I have only used each of them only once but so far so good! Diaper is nice that you just snap liner in and don't have to unsnap when washing! I wish it was in velcro though there a lot of snaps!
More reviews to come as I use them more!
